Lily Channing

Healthcare Assistant

Hello, I’m Lily and I have recently joined the Children’s Complex Health team in February 2024 as a healthcare assistant. I am lucky enough to have worked in a variety of roles supporting children in a variety of settings – in healthcare and medical settings, social care settings, educational settings, in the community and in children’s homes. The vast majority of my career has been spent working with children with disabilities. I love my work and I’m very passionate about it; I love that I am constantly learning and have the opportunity to better my practice every day, and I gain a lot of my job satisfaction from the time I spend with the children I work with. I am a child-led and family-led practitioner and believe that every child should be given opportunities to learn and achieve in all aspects of their life, and that learning and achieving is possible for every child, no matter their circumstance. I have always had a particular interest in children’s complex health and aspire to start a degree in children’s nursing in the next few years. In my spare time, I like exercising, watching films and tv series, seeing live music, baking and cooking, and eating what I’ve baked and cooked! I am thrilled to have been given the opportunity to work in this role in such a strong team and alongside the professionals at Humberston Park.
