What is the admission process at Humberston Park School?

Children and young people are usually admitted to Humberston Park School following a consultation process by North East Lincolnshire Local Authority or neighbouring authorities.  The child or young person will usually have a legal document known as an Education Health and Care Plan [EHCP].

If your child has special educational needs and you would like to discuss these needs, please contact the School Office for further advice and guidance.  Parents/Carers are welcome to come and visit the School by appointment.

Typically, if your child is already attending a school or educational setting, their Headteacher, Manager and/or SENCo of the setting will have explained the statutory assessment process to you, which can result in an Education Health Care Plan. By this stage your child has usually been seen by a number of professionals.  It may also be that your child already has an EHCP.

If a place is requested by parents/carers and agreed by a Local Authority, the School will invite you and your child to come in and talk with a member of the Leadership Team.
