Coronavirus

The Government and the Local Authority has a clear plan for how schools respond to the Coronavirus outbreak.

We receive daily updates and we are following all advice given.

At this time there are no confirmed cases in our area and the risk to the public remains low.

The advice is still that good hygiene is the best protection.  Wash your hands for a minimum of 20 seconds after going to the toilet, before eating food etc.  If you cough or sneeze please catch it in a tissue and throw your tissue in a bin.  When visiting the school please use the available hand sanitiser which is located throughout the school.

If your child is unwell please keep that off school.

As the situation develops we will keep parents informed through our website and our text messaging service.

Our priority is the health and wellbeing of all our pupils and we understand your concerns.

There is now a DfE helpine to answer questions about COVID-19 related to education. Staff, parents and young people can contact the helpline as follows:

·       Phone: 0800 046 8687

·       Email: DfE.coronavirushelpline@education.gov.uk
